How it works

Make the updates buyers pay for, without paying upfront

Many homes sell for more after a few smart updates, but not every seller has the cash or the time to manage contractors before a move. The CAVO Seller Prep Program is built for that gap.

  • Walkthrough. We look at your home together and talk through what buyers in your area expect.
  • Written scope. You get a written scope of work and price before anything starts.
  • Approval. Your home and the project are reviewed for approval. Approval is required and not guaranteed.
  • Work gets done. Work is performed or managed by CAVO Contractors, LLC, and you get updates along the way.
  • List and sell. Your home goes on the market looking its best.
  • Pay at closing. The agreed cost is paid from your proceeds at closing, under a separate written agreement.

What can be covered

Common Seller Prep projects

  • Interior and exterior paint
  • Flooring replacement and repairs
  • Deep cleaning and haul off
  • Landscaping and curb appeal
  • Repairs from a pre listing or buyer inspection
  • Kitchen and bath refreshes, when the numbers make sense

Not every project makes sense for every home. I'll tell you plainly which updates are likely to pay off and which to skip.

Seller Prep questions

Seller Prep Program: common questions

Is the Seller Prep Program a loan?

No. It is not a loan. The cost of approved work is paid from your proceeds at closing under a separate written agreement.

How do I know if my home qualifies?

Start with a free home value. We'll talk through your home, your goals and the likely scope, and then the project is reviewed for approval.

Do I have to use the program to work with you?

No. It is one option. You can also list as is or sell to an investor buyer.
